A Healthy Dose of Schadenfreude

As it is soon time to run the gauntlet of late fall/early winter holidays, that means, for most of us, plenty of time spent visiting relatives. If you’re not particularly looking forward to this traditional element of the season, you’re not alone.

However, you can rest assured that whatever your family’s quirks and closeted skeletons, they’re probably not as bad as the examples you can find at Hellishholidays.com. The healthy doses of schadenfreude available there are enough to make anyone feel better about visiting their relatives. Odds are you’ve never had a Thanksgiving dinner of blowtorch-cooked turducken served up in a trailer with a television and pickup trucks that are more expensive than the dwelling. Those of us who haven’t have never really lived.

Non family-related, there are even videos of what it’s like to navigate Wal-Mart first thing in the morning on Black Friday, as well as several tramplings occurring in stores that day.

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year” . . .
