How Not to Use PowerPoint

At my workplace, the IT department announced today that it has started its own blog. On today’s posting, they have included the video of a performance by a comedian named Don McMillan on how not to use PowerPoint. His routine takes the form of — what else? — a PowerPoint presentation. Anyone who has ever suffered through one of those things and wanted to throttle the presenter for attempting to utilize a slideshow as a way of distracting attention from the unmitigated awfulness of their presentation will probably find this funny. If you don’t have reason to find this funny, by the cruel, pustular gods, you are one of the lucky ones.

Your IT group has a blog – I bet that will be a hoot. Some of the funniest bloggers out there in runner land enjoy that profession. Thanks for sharing the clip. Ah, such a love and hate relationship with PowerPoint.

That is a great video. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to sit through someone reading me a PowerPoint presentation because the graph is too small to read.
