Painted Sheep

On this morning’s run, I passed by the same grazing field full of sheep that I normally pass, only this time I noticed something different. Several of the sheep, but certainly not most of them, appear to have the area between their shoulders painted hot pink. I don’t know why someone would want or need to paint sheep, but there they were.

Often times when sheep are sheared, medicated, wormed, etc…the sheep will be marked or painted with paint or wool chalk so that the sheep worker will know which ones have been done or not.
sometimes the sheep that the sheep farmer wishes to sell are marked so they can be easiely identified.
its all just to identify them.
