“All you kids out there…”

While watching tonight’s Stanley Cup game between Anaheim and Ottawa, I came to the realization that Don Cherry is the man in ways that few could ever aspire to be. I can only hope that when I’m seventy-something, I’m cool enough to go on national television wearing a white zoot suit jacket with black pinstripes and a red rose pinned to it, coordinated with a black tie with white polka dots, and proceed to trash the entire population of the United States and the TV network on which I’m appearing for being a bunch of “family-friendly” wimps and state in no uncertain terms that there just isn’t enough violence in ice hockey anymore. Oh Canada, why can’t we get sportscasters like that down here?
